HOW TO USE LOADING TABLES
The base element for technical choose of a grating is:
• Type of load that insist on the panel
• The span between two panels
• The mesh
Consulting loading tables it is able to define what type of grating can satisfy
customer needs.
Electrofused and /or pressed Grating panels can be divided into the following load
categories/classes:
Class1: pedestrian load
Class 2 – 3 – 4: vehicles load
Each class is determined by two characteristic elements:
LOAD THE IMPRINT
For load class 1, the load is uniformly distributed above the panel surface (fig.1) and not refers to other particular load.
For load class 2-3-4 the load is applied on the imprint corresponding to its class. (fig.2) loads and imprints have been selected according to the load on the ground and the load of the different vehicles actually in circulation. The final use of the panel has to be specified by the customer. The dynamic load is the result of the multiplication between the static load and an average dynamic coefficient equal to 1.5 in conformity to the usual technical specification.
